Introducing
Nepali cuisine to world, Chef Kumar Chalise was born to Mr. Ebindra Chalise and
Mrs. Bimala Chalise in Kathmandu. With two decade of experience in different
Deluxe Hotels, Restaurants, Cruise as well as hospitality education industry,
Chef Chalise has brought revolution in Nepali food industry. Chef kumar models
and believes life time learning strategies and acquired the training and
assessment qualification from TAFE/NSW Australia which he tops in his
international experiences in the past. Commercial cookery trainer qualification
from Switzerland.
Currently, associated
with Global College International mid Baneshwor, as a Culinary Manager, he has
attended various academic courses in different hospitality industries, conducted
culinary art training as a cosmopolitan chef in remote corner of Nepal to
international level.
In addition to that, he has worked as an Executive Corporate Chef at Chicken station (fast food brand of Nepal -25 outlets), As a Corporate chef in Bajeko Sekuwa first franchise bbq restaurant-11 outlets, As an Executive chef in Royal Singi Hotel in Kathmandu, Cookery teacher/trainer in Gate College, Kohinoor Hotel, Kantipur hotel, Delight Hotel, Gulf Inn Hotel, Grand Hotel, K-port Inn Cruise.
Additionally, he has
been working as a consultant for the multi cuisine national companies like
Keyman Group/Cafereena, Civil Mall food Court, Bajeko venture, Marco Polo Hotel,
Times Square Food Court, City Center Food Court, Mojo hotel, Marco polo hotel, Premier hotel and Pujan Hotel.
He has published multi cuisine cookbook, Basic Food hygiene book, Pork culinary, Steps of culinary arts, recipes to national
magazines, newspapers and national TV show programs. Executive board Member
chefs association of Nepal which is affiliated to world association of chefs
societies.
He has been advocating
of promoting Nepalese cuisines in national and international food lover markets
like Australia, Malaysia, Switzerland, China, Macau, Hong Kong, Japan, Myanmar,
Korea, Spain, Russia, London, India, and Dubai. He has won the best executive chef performance
award in food festival held in 2013 Macau, And 2014 in Switzerland. Nepal
hospitality award under the category of Innovative chef of the year 2017. Member
of World chefs without boarders Myanmar tour for humanity 2018.
First Cosmopolitan and corporate chef awarded of the year 2018 and 2020.
